Welcome to Emergences 2027

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to attend Emergences 2027, which will take place from March 25 to 26, 2027, in Marseille, France.

Over the past decade, 13 newly identified infections, including COVID-19, and 47 infections identified for the first time in a new area, reminded us that emerging infections are serious public health threats that spare no country. In addition, their incidence is increasing globally due to various parameters. These include microbial adaptation and change, human demographics and behaviour, ecological changes, technology and healthcare, travel, trade and industry, breakdown in public health measures or susceptibility to infections.

The conference will cover the challenges posed by emerging infectious diseases in comprehensive sessions on diagnostics, modelization, vector control, vaccination, immunotherapy, research funding, population information.
