One postdoctoral position is available in the laboratories of Dr Carole Le Coz and of Dr Nicolas Fazilleau to investigate the
cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating germinal center (GC) responses and antibody-mediated immunity.
Research Project
Protective humoral immunity depends on GCs, where high-affinity antibody-producing B cells are generated. This process
is orchestrated by follicular helper T (Tfh) cells and follicular regulatory T (Tfr) cells, which respectively promote and
regulate B-cell responses. Although Tfh biology is well established, the role of Tfr remains poorly understood. Our recent
work suggests that Tfr are functionally heterogeneous and adapt to tissue-specific and inflammatory environments,
challenging the classical view of these cells as a uniform suppressive population.
The successful candidates will join an ambitious research program combining human samples, mouse models, highdimensional
flow cytometry, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics to characterize Tfr heterogeneity and determine their
role in GC responses and autoimmune diseases.
Candidate Profile
Applicants must hold a PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline by the start date of
the position
Essential qualifications

  • Strong background in immunology.
  • Experience in cellular and molecular biology.
  • Expertise in multicolor flow cytometry, cell culture, and transcriptomic approaches.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research environment.
    Desirable qualifications
  • Experience in bioinformatics and transcriptomic data analysis.
  • Experience in advanced microscopy or cell imaging.
