Postdoctoral Fellow in Immunology, Metabolism and Molecular Cell Biology of Liver Diseases
Starting in November 2021 for two years.

A post-doctoral position is available at the “Centre Méditerranéen de Médecine Moléculaire (C3M)” (at Nice also known as The French Riviera, France) in the team « Chronic liver diseases associated with obesity and alcohol » led by Philippe Gual

We are looking for an experienced, highly independent, and dynamic candidate willing to drive an ambitious project in the understanding of Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and alcohol-associated steatohepatitis (ASH). NASH and ASH are the major causes of liver-related mortality with limited therapeutic options available.

The project implicates already established animal and cellular models, human sample collections and international collaborations, including clinical teams in Hepatology and the use of cutting-edge technologies. The applicant will benefit from a highly collaborative and diverse environment at the Centre Méditerranéen de Médecine Moléculaire and from state-of-the-art technological platforms.

Candidates with a PhD in Physiopatology (liver pathogenesis) and solid background in inflammation are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with previous work in the field of metabolism, immunology (flow cytometry) and mouse models (animal experimentation accreditation (level 1) is required) are very welcomes. A previous experience in bioinformatics analyses would be an advantage. The candidate should be fluent in English, expected to show independent thinking and ability to drive its own research, and willing to participate to the lab’s life.

Applicants should send their CV, letter of motivation and name of 2 references.
