Background and proof of concept of the GeoMx Technology in immuno-oncology

In situ transcriptomic profiling (on FFPE and Fresh Frozen tissue cutting) has become an accessible and rapidly deployable reality with the GeoMx Digital Spatial profiler.

The GeoMx makes it possible to profile regions with great precision (1μm2) and thus to follow the expression of transcripts (Whole Transcriptome) or the presence of proteins (Up to 100 detectable in parallel) in extremely fine compartments. As finely as profiling TILs in a tumor requires it.

There have already been thousands of projects on GeoMx platforms around the world and more than 80 peer-reviewed publications in less than 2 years of commercialization of this revolutionary platform. Already 7 platforms installed in France.

If you also want to profile particular cell types or tissue regions defined in IHC or ISH, submit your project to candidate to the NanoString Grants.

Description of grants

The French Society for Immunology is delighted to co-sponsor two Spatial Biology awards for Immunology Research with our Corporate Member, NanoString.

Two prices will be awarded to enable the discovery of spatial biomarkers using the latest Digital Spatial Profiling chemistry. The prices will be awarded to the most impactful proposal for immunology research (NeuroImmunology, Cellular Immunotherapy, Translational research, Immunomodulation, Innate immunity, …).

The awards will be presented at the Annual Meeting of the French Society for Immunology.

Value

Immunology Research Awards: GeoMx® Whole Transcriptome Atlas (WTA)

The awards include NGS readout on Illumina’s new NextSeq™ 2000 Sequencing System.
