A 2-year post-doctoral (or Ingénieur de Recherche) position is immediately available in the laboratory of Prof. Jean-Michel Sallenave (see address below) in the INSERM unit 1152 (Physiopathology and Epidemiology of respiratory diseases, Hôpital Bichat, Paris, France).
Successful candidates will have completed a PhD in Biochemistry/Cellular Biology/Immunology and will have in-depth expertise in cellular/molecular biology/immunological techniques.
The projects aim to study, in the context of cystic fibrosis, host-Pseudomonas aeruginosa molecular and cellular interactions in pulmonary inflammation in vitro and in vivo.
Specifically, the project will evaluate the role of bacterial virulence factors and that of innate immunity in vaccine protocols against P.aeruginosa.
