A 2-year postdoctoral position is available in Emmanuel Donnadieu’s laboratory (https://www.institutcochin.fr/la-recherche/3i/equipe-donnadieu) at the Institut Cochin in Paris to study chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells in cancer.
Cancer immunotherapy based on the adoptive transfer of genetically engineered T cells has shown great promise in the treatment of hematological malignancies but not yet of solid tumors. The goal of this project is to increase the efficacy of engineered T cells in solid tumors by improving their migration using an innovative approach based on nanotechnologies. The postdoctoral researcher will work at the interface of immunology, cancerology, and biophysics, in collaboration with European academic partners. The project has received funding from the European Science Foundation.
The postdoc candidate has recently obtained a Ph.D. and has a strong interest and a proven track record of achievement in Immune Cell Biology and Tumor Immunology. Motivated candidates who have previous experience with either live imaging, T cell culture, and genetic engineering are especially encouraged to apply.
